Visiting the monterey Peninsula

RESTORE with ouchie

Visiting the Monterey Peninsula, with all it has to offer, don’t miss out on experiencing our treatments and visiting some of our favorite places to eat, play, and stay.

I love RESTORE sessions, it allows me to provide a variety of modalities for a generous amount of time. We start off with a back treatment; gentle needling to calm your energy + emotions. After needles, we cup or gua sha, whatever it is you need.
WE then turn ove to complete the front treatment - treat your constitution, correct an irregular menses, relieve irritability, encourage water metabolism, address back pain, etc. While the needles are doing their thing, we get to have an in-depth facial gua sha or facial reflexology treatment.
RESTORE will leave you feeling like a new person. I recommend this approach to visitors or anyone just needing a tune up every few months. This is what my ideal treatment that I would love to receive looks like, so I created it for you!

Places to eat

The Monterey Peninsula is quickly growing its’ foodie reputation. Here are some places that Dr. Stephanie + Dustin enjoy:

Stationaery

A wonderful place for breakfast, lunch, or a quick coffee stop. Owned by the wonderful Alissa + Anthony Carnazzo, who are offering a fine-dining experience, without the snob. Chef Amalia creates seasonal dishes which showcase local produce + ingredients. Dustin’s staple is the Potato Latke with a side order of the oh-so-yummy biscuit, and Dr. Stephanie enjoys the breakfast scramble. When the mushroom-rice dish is back on the menu, that is her favorite lunch item.

Cult taco

Opened by our favorite Carmel Restaurant, Cultura, this Monterey location is a favorite place for our dinners. Dustin enjoys the Tacos, while Dr. Stephanie enjoys the Prawn Salad. The Ceviche is to-die-for! And, it is in walking distance to the Ouchie Office.

P.S..: This place is card-only.

Captain + Stoker

Their guatemalan beans are ground freshly every morning for our morning ritual, and a place for us to refuel on coffee or matcha. Dustin enjoys the macadamia nut milk matcha, while Dr. Stephanie sticks to her usual hot latte. Roare makes an incredible gluten-free vegan lemon bar, which is not-too sweet but oh-so refreshing.

The Village Big Sur

This place is well worth the drive to Big Sur. Bring a blanket, so you can take a nap in the grass next to the Big Sur River. The food is incredible, as the Chef uses a vegan + local inspired menu. Everything is INCREDIBLE! You can choose healthy elixirs + teas, as you spend hours just taking in the beauty of Big Sur. You have to come here, if you are visiting.

Places to stay

For anyone visiting, there is a plethora of hotels to choose from. Here are a few places we have enjoyed:

Carmel valley ranch

We love spending time at Carmel Valley Ranch. A gem nestled in the Carmel Valley Hills, and will always have sun during the summer. With an organic garden, lavender, wine, honey, and their own goats, it offers a variety for the entire family. Resident turkeys and deer can be seen throughout the resort. You will find Dr. Stephanie lounging pool-side on her days off.

The Hideaway

Smaller boutique hotel in the heart of Carmel-by-the-Sea, within walking distance to all the tasting rooms, shops, and Stationaery. Offering a cheese + wine reception to be enjoyed by the fireplace.
