Community Acupuncturist

We are seeking a kind, honest, compassionate, and competent Acupuncturist to join our Team. At Ouchie, we are known for providing exceptional one-on-one care. With the change in the economy, and demand of our patients, we are seeking to add an acupuncturist to provide economical and effective treatments, allowing patients access to what we call “community acupuncture”. Community acupuncture at Ouchie means that patients receive conventional acupuncture treatments where the practitioner does not stay in the room to offer immerse experiences that we are known for. The practitioner will have two rooms to offer cost effective and outcome driven treatments.

Experience with, community acupuncture and conventional acupuncture treatments (2+ patients per hour), are what makes you a great candidate for our Team.

You will be asked to treat two patients per hour, managing an effective and efficient intake and treatment plan.

Our goal is to offer you a healthy environment to learn, expand, and grow your ability to provide exceptional patient care, all while exciting your patient about this wonderful medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Provide treatments customized to patients’ needs, including but not limited to: complete health history, physical examination, pattern diagnosis, tuina, cupping, moxibustion, reflexology, gua sha, auricular therapy, Chinese medicine dietary recommendation, Chinese herbal formula, and lifestyle advice.

  • Documentation of complete treatment and intake via electronic health records (Jane App).

  • Communicate clearly your findings and treatment recommendation to your patient.

  • Manage your time efficiently to allow the patient to have all their questions and concerns addressed, all while managing your time to see two patients.

  • Being on time for your patient appointment is of utmost importance.

qualifications

  • Active California State License as an Acupuncturist

  • Active malpractice insurance

  • Active First Aid and CPR certification

  • Ability to navigate EHR systems, booking systems, payment processing systems.

  • Confidence in self-promotion, patient attraction and retention.

  • Strong communication skills to set patients at ease.

  • Strict adherence to health safety measures in place for Clean Needle Technique.

  • Exceptional time-management skills

Part-time position (Thursday, Friday), hourly pay.
